It’s a tragic fact that we live in a society where people are hurting and dying without the love of Jesus. They are trapped in addictions, living without a future, and unaware that the time is short. Yet hidden within the walls of churches across the world is an army, so caught up in its own internal issues that it hasn’t the time to be what God has called it to be.
The purpose of the church is clear. The Bible tells us we are to be a city on a hill not hidden, to be a people that gives light to the world. Now is the time for the church to fulfil the commission that Jesus gave to her. His departing instruction was clear… “Go and make disciples of all the nations”. The church at South Chard is passionate and purposed to fulfil this commission. We want to break down our walls and see God transform the community in which we live.
Our Pastor, Neil Reid is a man of vision, a passionate communicator of the Gospel, encouraging and developing the Church in the vision and purpose that God has given us. Our caption, “A family of disciples taking the Gospel to all creation”, defines who we are and what we are about.
