South Chard Church

At SCC, we are passionate about young people - they are the next generation and therefore we need to invest in their lives now. Our desire is to see today’s young people emerge as strong men and women of God, outworking their faith through mission and taking an active role in the life of the church.   

Youth Pastors
Luke and Abi Talmage are the Youth Pastors at SCC and together they are totally committed to seeing young people flourish in their personal relationships with God. Supporting them is a team of 6 committed and passionate volunteers.

Emerge @ South Chard - Monthly
On the second Saturday in every month at 7.30 pm, the young people meet at the church to celebrate and worship God, with live music from the resident band 'OneWay', and powerful teaching from various speakers.

Emerge - Thursdays 7.30 pm
Breakaway is filled with teaching, worship and a social time for meaningful interaction with  one another. It is essentially a weekly event but does not meet on weeks when ' The Event' is running.

Emerge Football Frenzy - Every Tuesday 6pm - 7pm
Football Frenzy is a great chance for people who are aged 11 - 16 to come along and show  us their football skills. Its run at Cresta Sports Hall and cost £1 per young person. Its run term time and all are welcome.

Loud Living - Bi-monthly inter-church event
This is a joint youth service where all of the youth of Chard and the surrounding areas can cross boundaries and denominations and worship together.
